Öğrencilerim küresel ısınmanın etkilerini basit bir deney ile gözlemlediler. Deneyi yaparken çok eğlendiler ama sonucunu görünce küresel ısınmanın ne kadar ciddi bir sorun olduğunu bir kez daha anladılar. Deneyimizde sirke ile karbonatın tepkimesi sonucu açığa çıkan karbondioksit gazı sera gazı etkisi yaratıp buzun daha çabuk erimesine yol açtı. Diğer yandan; doğal ortamında bıraktığımız buz ise çok az eridi. İşte küresel ısınma da buzullarımızı bu şekilde eritmektedir.

My students observed the effects of global warming with a simple experiment. They had a lot of fun doing the experiment, but when they saw the result, they once again understood how serious a problem global warming is. In our experiment, the carbon dioxide gas released as a result of the reaction of vinegar and carbonate created a greenhouse gas effect and caused the ice to melt more quickly. On the other hand; The ice we left in its natural environment melted very little. This is how global warming melts our glaciers.
