Toprak sağlığının en üst düzeyde tutulması için bitki besleme ve hassas tarım, toprak işlemesiz tarım gibi farklı ekim teknikleri büyük öneme sahip. Ancak tüm bu süreci farklı kaynaklarla desteklemek gerekli. Son yıllarda her ölçekte tarım arazisinde yaygın olarak kullanılan kompost işte bu noktada devreye giriyor.
